From Airport to Conference Venue

By Plane

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is Malaysia’s main international airport and is about 50 km from Kuala Lumpur.

The Low-Cost Carrier Terminal is located about 20 km from the KLIA’s main terminal building.

By Train

From Kuala Lumpur International Airport you can take the KLIA Ekspres train direct to KL Sentral (Kuala Lumpur’s main station). From KLIA it takes 28 minutes one way and costs 35MYR. Tickets can be bought from counters or automated ticketing machines. Trains depart at 15 minute intervals during peak hours and 20 minute intervals during off-peak hours.

First train: 05:00 / Last train: 00:30 from KLSentral and 01:00 from KLIA
Peak Hours: 06:00 – 08:45; 16:00 – 21:45

From KL Sentral station take the Light Rail Transit (LRT), Kelana Jaya Line (direction Gombak), to KLCC station. Walk through the Suria KLCC shopping centre and take the covered walkway to reach the conference venue - approximately a 10 minute walk. Alternatively you can take a taxi from KL Sentral station.

By Taxi

Airport Limo offers a 24-hour taxi service. The ticket counter is found just inside the exit doors of the arrival hall. Prices are fixed according to destination. The journey can take up to 1.5 hours depending on traffic.

Within Kuala Lumpur

By Train

The Light Rail Transit (LRT) system has two lines - Kelana Jaya and Ampang. The closest stop for the conference venue is KLCC (Kuala Lumpur City Centre) on the Kelana Jaya line. The Monorail line runs from 06:00 – 00:00, every 2-5 minutes during peak hours and 5 – 10 minutes off-peak.

By Taxi

Delegates are encouraged to take metered taxis, or to check the price before getting in. Kuala Lumpur traffic jams are common, especially during peak hours. Surcharges often apply after midnight.

By Bus

Rapid KL buses run from 06:00 – 22:00/23:30 (depending on area). More information is available at www.myrapid.com.my.

Go KL is a free bus service which operates from 06:00 – 23:00. The green line stops at KLCC (Kuala Lumpur City Centre), near the PETRONAS Twin Towers.

By Foot

Outside the main entrance to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre is an air-conditioned walkway which goes to Bukit Bintang area, with additional exits along the way. It is open from 06:00 – 23:00.


At the Conference Venue

Car Parks

Two car parks are available; one below the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and another at the Suria KLCC shopping centre.
